The Dodge Charger Daytona EV does not have a V8 but it sounds pretty convincing

The all-new electric Dodge Charger Daytona EV does not come loaded with a hemi-V8, but instead it gets an exhaust sound that creates a frenzy. Most recently, Dodge took up to Instagram and showed its latest iteration of the Fraztonic exhaust. The latest exhaust sounds quite convincing and matches the sound of the good old-fashioned V-8 sound.

Initially when the original noise debuted in 2022, it met a lot of criticism. Dodge tried hard to replicate its sensational exhaust sound, and in 2023, they tried to resemble an engine. However, it failed to impress the buying public. The sound from the latest Dodge Charger Daytona EV sounds largely similar to the hemi-V8.

Audiences however showed mixed reactions. Some commented by saying that they wanted real engine noises, and not sounds from a speaker. Dodge has voiced its struggles with the Fratzonic exhaust, and they’ve reworked it a 100 times. The exhaust system is said to use speakers that are mounted on the inside so as to mimic the sound of a real exhaust.

So whats understandable is that it still remains a far cry from the original V8 simply because people already know that the sound pops out of a speaker and not an exhaust. So even if the sound mimics the sound of a V8, the sound of the Dodge Charger Daytona EV still comes out as a fake.
