Regarding Global EV sales, we have witnessed what observers could only call an unprecedented rise. It is concerning because the sales of electric cars alone numbered 14 million units in the year ending in March 2023 and unfortunately or fortunately the firm expects the sales of electric vehicles to rise above 17 million units by year end of 2024. This development is evidence of the fast rate of adoption of sustainable transport solutions global
Not surprisingly, China lead the way in global EV sales followed by Japan plus a few other Asian developing countries. However, the development is not straight forward in this direction only. There is notable growth also in the US, and Europe mostly due to the government’s active promotion of e-mobility, the increase in the number of charging stations and the expansion of assortment of EVs in the market.
Not as soon it can be expected that in specifically that 2030 will witness dramatic changes in consumer behaviors and the orientation of the automotive industry, the majority of which will be reflected in figures. In China, each third car will be a plug-in car will be feasible since many dealers sell only electric vehicles. These statistics also pointers to the great change in the car industry where petrol/diesel cars are imagined to be poor models.
However, these numbers indicate share of EV with relation to BP consuming vehicle such number of cars reflects the shift towards other technologies.
This growth is also giving form to the larger energy ecosystem. Every new technology builds on the existing one, and the case with EVs is no exception. This is now moving the focus from car engineering to the growth of batteries put in cars, which I must add, is a work in progress.
As a result of the ongoing market revolution on electrification there is a paradigm change in both the car companies and the policy makers so as to meet the set goals that are highly ambitious in sustainability. As these values wear away into insignificance, other forms of transport will take the placing due to environmental concerns.
To conclude, as the age of EV has finally arrived, it’s now clear that it is already taking root within the auto sector. With these fears, the coming years might be filled with successes and bright prospects lead to a more environmental friendly and a green global economy which all mankind will be happy about. And this time, it will will be much more exciting.
