Ferrari electric supercar to debut in 2025 and go on sale in 2026

by AatoMobil

Ferrari is expected to reveal its first electric vehicle by the end of 2025. This is the Italian marquees first attempt at EV adoption. The first Ferrari electric supercar will not compromise on Ferraris scintillating performance and feel. Heavily camouflaged prototypes have been spotted ahead of the brand’s EV debut. However, it is unknown whether these test mules will replicate the original EV intended to go on sale from 2026.

There are no trademark filings suggesting that Ferrari has a name for this EV. The name will be announced before the car debuts. It is still unclear what the final form of the EV will be, it can be an SUV or a crossover. Ferrari has recently partnered with SK On, a South Korean vehicle battery manufacturer and both of these companies signed a MoU (Memorandum of understanding) to continue their joint venture. So it is highly likely that the batteries powering the Ferrari electric supercar will be from SK On. Expect the EV to have two electric motors and higher variants could have up to four motors.

Ferrari electric supercar launch

Ferrari will intend to produce “sound signatures” for this electric supercar and this means this EV will not be silent. Expect the car to come in its flesh before the end of 2025. Sales of this new Ferrari EV will begin only in 2026. Ferrari has clear intentions of starting full-scale EV operations from that year. The Italian manufacturer has also opened its new e-building facility in Maranello in June, 2024.

Few reports suggest that Ferrari will price the EV at $500,000, but officials at Ferrari confirmed the prices to be lower than that. Expect it to be pricier than a Portofino M which comes with an introductory price of $250,000. It is however expected to be cheaper than the outgoing SF90 Stradale.
